This hinge is versatile and can be used for both new construction and retrofitting existing construction. For new construction, drill a 35mm cup 11mm deep, 4mm tab from the edge of the door as shown in the Dimension picture adding 4mm. For retrofit applications, if you have a Salice hinge that mounts with two screws to the faceframe and is stamped 3/4" on the arm and the holes that mount to the door match the hole placement pictured, you can use the same mounting holes to the frame. If you have the Salice hinge with 2 screws that mount to the frame, stamped with an overlay, select the same overlay and you can swap them and use the existing holes. This can also potentially be used to retrofit some other hinges, but accurate measurements are vital as dimensions from the manufacturer are in metric. Measure the door overlay, measure your door, then measure the opening it covers. Subtract the door width from the opening width and divide by two to get your overlay. For the 2nd measurement, a 35mm cup must be drilled for the hinge on the door. Measure from the edge of your door to the edge of the cup, ensuring it is between 2.5mm to 6mm as this distance affects the overlay for this hinge. The 3rd measurement is for the hinge to door mounting screws which must be spaced 45mm center to center. The SALICE Soft Close Hinge With Motion control switch allows you to switch the dampening effect to LOW by setting the lever to zero, or switch to HIGH by setting the lever to one. With a 3/4" overlay, this hinge is CAM adjustable in six ways for door adjustment: up, down, in, out, right, and left. Each order includes 10 hinges and 40 #7x5/8" flat head screws. Please note that this hinge mounts with 4 #7 x 5/8" wood screws included with the order.
